The First Steering Committee Meeting of the Industrial Symbiosis in İzmir Region Project, carried out through the cooperation between İzmir Development Agency (İZKA) and United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Türkiye, was held online on the 30th of December 2021.
Officials from İzmir Development Agency (İZKA), United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Türkiye, Republic of Türkiye (T.R.) Ministry of Industry and Technology, Republic of Türkiye (T.R.) Presidency of Strategy and Budget, and Republic of Türkiye (T.R.) Ministry of Foreign Affairs participated in the First Steering Committee Meeting. A total of 17 people attended the meeting, including committee members and the project team.
The Steering Committee Meeting commenced with the opening speeches by Dr. Mehmet Yavuz, Secretary General of İzmir Development Agency, and Seher Alacacı Arıner, United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Assistant Resident Representative responsible for the UNDP Program in Türkiye.
Following the opening speeches, Industrial Symbiosis in İzmir Region Project’s Project Manager Dr. Ahmet Türküm made a presentation about the project components and activities. In his presentation, Türküm informed the committee members about the status of the activities carried out since April 2021.
During and after the presentation, the questions of the committee members were answered by the project team.
