For the purpose of supporting the collaborations between private sector and universities in the scope of the Industrial Symbiosis in İzmir Region Project, the Sectoral Sustainability and Industrial Symbiosis Workshop was held on 7 February 2023. With this workshop, the prominent industrialists of the aluminum sector in our country and the academicians with studies on the subject of aluminum were brought together. Throughout the workshop, academic works conducted on aluminum in economic, environmental and social sustainability related perspectives were highlighted.

A total of 32 people attended the workshop that was hosted by İzmir Institute of Technology, particularly from various universities and private sector companies operating in the field of aluminum.

Following the workshop, a visit was organized together with all the participants to the Integrated Research Center and Metallurgical Laboratory within the body of İzmir Institute of Technology.
